Bee Busy, the City of Houston Health Department, HISD, and the Bee Busy Wellness Center teamed up on March 10th to host National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Day Celebration.
Bee Busy along with its community partners, the City of Houston Health Department, HISD, and the Bee Busy Wellness Center is proud to announce that the 7th Annual National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day program will be held March 29 from 10:00am-2:00pm at Bethel’s Place. This year’s keynote speaker will be Hydeia Broadbent, International HIV Activist and Humanitarian. Participants do not need to be HIV positive to attend, and no one will ask anyone to disclose their status.
“This celebration will provide us with an opportunity to recognize the impact of HIV on women and girls in Houston, and to encourage action to reduce, educate and inform everyone about the increasing HIV/AIDS contraction rates among minority females, the importance of opening a prevention dialogue with potential sexual partners and medical advances in the care and treatment of HIV and AIDS,” said Hydeia Broadbent.
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
